The G 10 of the Reichseisenbahnen in Alsace-Lorraine were freight locomotives based on the model of the Prussian G 10 . They were intended for heavy freight train service, especially in the Lorraine / Luxembourg industrial area. A total of 35 G 10s were delivered to the Reichseisenbahnen von Henschel (1910), Grafenstaden (1912/13) and Borsig (1913). The first series was delivered as G 9 , but then in 1912 it was re-designated as G 10.

After the First World War , one locomotive remained in Germany and later became the 57 1124. The stock that had fallen to France was increased by 19 locomotives through reparation charges and the Prussian G 10 that remained in Alsace-Lorraine . In addition, the Württembergische Hh No. 835 classified as G 10 5436. The SNCF designated the G 10 as 050-B 401-453.

After the Second World War , a former Alsace-Lorraine G 10 remained in the GDR and was taken over by the DR as 57 3551. The G 10 in France were retired by 1955.
