Working in public space (selection)
The metal is a means of expression of the artistic work of Töbelmann and Greve, whereby the forging determines their character:
The curved rods of their wind chimes with the movable, forged stainless steel shapes of their wind objects look like calligraphic symbols. Some are also reminiscent of animal shapes. The wind sets the objects on the poles in rotating, dancing and rocking movements and gives them lightness and unpredictability.
In stark contrast are the statically designed steel memorials and memorials for the victims of National Socialism - Jews , forced laborers and children from Nazi children's homes. In their immovability and static presence, these sculptures have a warning character. They make it difficult to forget, suppress and look away.
