Elvira Lantenhammer

Gertrude Elvira Lantenhammer (born November 9, 1956 in Altötting ) is a German painter and artist.

life and work

Elvira Lantenhammer initially trained as a restorer in Altötting. From 1980 she studied painting with Jürgen Reipka and Heinz Butz at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . The work is a position between abstraction and concrete art in painting, sculpture and installation.

Elvira Lantenhammer is a member of the German Association of Artists .

In 1999 Elvira Lantenhammer started the art project "Art in Homburg Castle" in Homburg am Main Castle, the center of her life since 1998, thereby creating a platform for contemporary art in the Lower Franconian wine-growing village of Homburg am Main . a. also for the Free International University and U We Claus, one of the co-founders of the FIU , student and long-time assistant to Joseph Beuys .

In the studio and exhibition room in Schloss Homburg, the artist organizes the "Summer Academy Schloss Homburg" with various courses and events.
