Emil Sax

Emil Sax (born February 8, 1845 in Jauernig , Austrian Silesia , † March 25, 1927 Volosca (Volosko, Istria )) was a political economist .

Life

Emil Sax studied at the University of Vienna and in 1867 became secretary of the Austrian commission at the Paris World Exhibition . As such, he was instrumental in drafting the official report on the organization of the same.

Then got a job as Sax Konzipist at the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and was able to during this time as a lecturer for economics at the Technical University , and later at the University of Vienna habilitation . From 1873 he worked for six years as a secretary in the administration of the Emperor Ferdinand's Northern Railway .

In 1879 Sax accepted a position as full professor for economics at Charles University ( Prague ). In the same year Sax was also elected to the Austrian House of Representatives.

In 1893 Sax retired, also forced by increasing hearing loss .
