Emil Vogt (politician)

Emil Christoph Vogt (born May 16, 1848 in Butzbach ; † May 26, 1930 ibid) was a Hessian pharmacist and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Emil Vogt was the son of the pharmacist Johann Heinrich Vogt and his wife Anna Maria, née Grüsing. Vogt, who was Protestant, married Emma, ​​née Bender, in his first marriage in 1875 and Emma, ​​née Lindenborn, in 1892.

Vogt was the owner of a pharmacy in Butzbach. In Butzbach he was a council member and honorary citizen . Emil-Vogt-Straße in Butzbach is named after him.

From 1884 to 1890 and again from 1891 to 1896 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Oberhessen 3 / Butzbach .
