Emile Huet (* 1874 ; † 1944 ) was a Belgian dentist and track cyclist .

In 1894 and 1895, Emile Huet won the first two events of the Belgian sprint championship . At the track cycling world championships in Cologne in 1895 he came third in the professional sprint . Together with the German Bruno Büchner , he successfully competed in numerous tandem races . In 1896 he won the Grand Prix of Vienna in the sprint.

Huet was a dentist by profession and invented equipment for dental treatment. In 1911, for example, he constructed a motor that achieved a speed of 10,000 rpm instead of the previously possible 3000 revolutions. However, the handpieces of the time, such as drills, were not designed for such speeds and heated up too much. He also wrote essays, gave lectures and held offices in dental associations. Only in later years was the importance of his achievements recognized.
