Erik Schoefs
Erik Schoefs , often spelled Eric Schoefs , (born January 4, 1967 in Tongeren ) is a former Belgian track cyclist .
In 1988 Erik Schoefs started at the Olympic Games in Seoul in the sprint and finished sixth; four years later he started again at the Olympic Games, but could not place. At the UCI track world championships in 1992 in Valencia he was third. From 1993 to 1995 Erik Schoefs was Belgian champion in the professional driver sprint three times in a row . Before that, he had already become the master of amateurs in 1987 and 1989 to 1991.
In 1997 Schoefs resigned from active cycling, but continues to act as a pacemaker on the Derny .
