Ender Alkan (born January 2, 1977 in Zara ) is a former Turkish football player and coach.

Player career

society

Alkan began with the club football in the youth of the then third division Maltepespor . In 1995 he was included in the first team with a professional contract and made his professional debut here. After a season he moved to the second division Kartalspor within the city of Istanbul .

He played for Kartalspor for the next two years before moving to the first league for the first division Bursaspor in the summer of 1998 . Previously, the Turkish top club Galatasaray Istanbul tried to sign him . At his new employer, he made the leap into the starting eleven straight away, so that he was a permanent fixture in the team for the next five years. It was only in the 2003/04 season that he lost his regular place and therefore switched to league rivals MKE Ankaragücü during the winter break . For this club he only played until the end of the season before he was hired by the first division club Denizlispor . For this club he played for the next year and a half and during this time did not get beyond the role of supplementary player. So he moved on to league rivals Diyarbakırspor during the winter break of the 2005/06 season . Since this club had missed relegation as the bottom of the table, the contract with Alkan was not extended.

In the summer of 2006 Alkan returned to his first club, Maltepespor . After he had shown an ascending performance curve here, the second division side Kasımpaşa Istanbul signed him in spring 2007. At the end of the season, Alkan achieved the playoff victory of the second division season 2006/07 and thus promotion to the Süper Lig . After being promoted to the Süper Lig, Alkan only played two league games until the winter break, which is why he was loaned to Darıca Gençlerbirliği for the second half of the season.

In the summer of 2008, Alkan left Kasımpaşa, played in turn for Zeytinburnuspor , Sarıyer SK and Bugsaş Spor and ended his football career in the summer of 2011.

National team

Alkan played once for the Turkish U-21 national team in 2000 .

Coaching career

From 2013 Alkan started to work as a coach and his first activity was the U-15 team of Kayseri Erciyesspor . With the resignation of head coach Hikmet Karaman , Alkan also left Erciyesspor in summer 2014. In December 2014 he followed Karaman to Çaykur Rizespor and took over the U-21 team here. He also acted as an assistant coach.
