Energy Basel is a Swiss private radio station . The program went on air on January 13, 2012 on the frequencies of the previous station Radio Basel . The station is the third radio station in German-speaking Switzerland under the international NRJ brand . In the second half of 2019, an average of 97,000 listeners listened to the station every day (Monday to Sunday, D-CH, 15+). Thus Energy Basel is Radio Basilisk Basel's private radio stations with the greatest reach .
history
Energy Basel emerged in 2012 from the radio station Radio Basel , which addressed a rather older target group . Radio Basel's predecessors were Radio Basel 1 (until September 2009) and Radio Edelweiss (until August 2003).
On December 3, 2012, Energy announced that it would launch Energy TV, a Swiss music television channel .

Energy Basel offers a radio program that is aimed primarily at young adults. The music selection focuses on the current hits. In addition to music, Energy Basel offers a morning show (Energy Mein Morgen) and an evening show (Energy Downtown), information from Basel and the region, and regularly invites you to concerts and film premieres. The daytime and weekend shows are mostly produced and broadcast together with Energy Zurich and Basel.

The morning show on Energy Basel is moderated by Daniel Studer. It runs on weekdays between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Energy Downtown
The after-work program is moderated by various moderators and runs from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Events
The station, together with Energy Bern and Energy Zurich , organizes several events. The tickets for all events are not for sale, but will only be raffled.
Energy Star Night
The Energy Star Night is a concert event with national and international acts, which takes place once a year in the Hallenstadion Zurich in front of 13,000 spectators. Energy Zurich has been organizing the event since the first edition in 2003. Energy Bern has also been involved in the organization since 2010 and Energy Basel since 2012. Until 2015 the event was called Energy Stars For Free.
Energy Air
Energy Air has been part of Energy's event portfolio since 2014. It is a concert event with national and international acts, which takes place once a year in the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern in front of 40,000 spectators. The event is organized by Energy Basel, Energy Bern and Energy Zurich . The event takes place in autumn.
Energy Fashion Night
In 2010 the Energy Fashion Night (fashion event) was launched. Fashion trends and musical entertainment are offered in front of 6,000 spectators in the Zurich Hallenstadion . Energy Fashion Night is an annual fashion event in Zurich . It has been organized by Energy Zurich and Energy Bern since 2010 and by Energy Basel since 2012. On show is affordable fashion for everyone. There will be national and international models and musicians . The event takes place in spring.
Energy Live Session
The Energy Live Session is a concert series that takes place several times a year in smaller locations in the cities of Basel , Bern and Zurich . International artists appear in an intimate setting. The Backstreet Boys , James Blunt and Sarah Connor have already given concerts.

The Energy Red Session is a series of concerts aimed at a young, urban audience and takes place several times a year in smaller locations in the cities of Basel , Bern and Zurich . National and international artists appear.

DAB + station
In addition to the stations from Energy Basel, Bern and Zurich, Energy Basel also offers other radio stations via DAB +. They only broadcast a music program 24/7 and can be received in German-speaking Switzerland.
