The 2003/04 season was the eighth edition of the English National League . After the Elite Ice Hockey League , the British National League and the English Premier Ice Hockey League , it is the 4th division of British ice hockey.
Mode and participants
The teams played in a north and a south group. In a single round everyone played against everyone. Then the first four played in play-off groups for the play-off places. The first two from North and South then played in play-offs with a return leg for the overall victory.
North group
As many teams played in the northern group as in the previous season. Only the Altrincham Aces, whose ice rink was sold and later completely demolished, was replaced by the second team of the Nottingham Panthers .

The field grew with the participation of the Oxford City Stars , Streatham Redskins and Solent & Gosport Devils and the return of the Slough Jets II . Only the Birmingham Rockets withdrew from the league.
