The 2013/14 season was the hosting of the British National Ice Hockey League . After the Elite Ice Hockey League and the English Premier Ice Hockey League, this represented the 3rd division of British ice hockey in addition to the Scottish National League . In addition to the English teams, Scottish and Welsh teams took part.
Mode and participants
The teams played in regional zones "North", which was divided into a Moralee Conference and a Laidler Conference below , and "South", which consisted of a first and lower class second division. There was no overall champion among the winners of the two leagues.

New in the league were the Widnes Wild , who replaced the eliminated Fylde Coast Flyers . With the withdrawal of the Coventry Blaze from Division 1, the number of teams increased. The second-placed team did not take part in the play-offs "for administrative reasons", but the fifth-placed team, Widness Wild, moved into the group of four play-off participants.

The last placed was relegated to Division II. The Oxford City Stars as champions of Division II rose to Division I.
