The 1999/2000 season was the second edition of the English Premier Ice Hockey League . After the English League was split into a Division I and the higher-class Premier Division , it was inconsistently referred to as the English Premier League or English League Premier Division . The league has the status of the third league level after the Ice Hockey Superleague and British National League .

Mode and participants

There were two rounds, each with a return game. Two points were awarded for a win - even after overtime or penalty shootout - and one point for a draw. The field of participants consisted exclusively of English teams. In January 2000, the Oxford Blades team was withdrawn from gaming operations for financial reasons. In February of that year, game operations for the Cardiff Devils 2 were ended for disciplinary reasons . The teams' results were annulled.
