Éric Bédard

Éric Bédard (born December 17, 1976 in Sainte-Thècle , Québec ) is a Canadian short tracker .

He celebrated the greatest success of his career at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , when he became Olympic champion with the Canadian 5000 meter relay. Four years later he won the silver medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Turin with the same relay and was fourth in the individual race over 500 meters. From 2008 to 2010, Bédard worked as a national short track coach in Germany. Since 2010 he has been the national coach of Italy.
