Eric Dietrich

Eric Dietrich (born June 16, 1985 in Schlema ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and has been a member of the Saxon state parliament since 2019.

Life

Dietrich grew up in what is now Hundshübel, a part of the municipality of Stützengrün , and passed his Abitur in Aue, Saxony . He then studied information technology at the Glauchau State Study Academy and completed his training as a graduate engineer for information technology. After working in Munich , he returned to his home town in 2008 and worked as a project manager for a software company. From 2017 he worked as an IT coordinator for a car manufacturer.

Dietrich is married and has one son.

Political electoral offices

Dietrich joined the CDU in 2006. Since the local elections in Saxony in 2009 , he has been a member of the Stützengrün municipal council and is also chairman of the CDU local group. In the local elections in 2014 , he also moved into the district council of the Erzgebirgskreis and worked there until 2019.

In 2018, the CDU nominated him to succeed Thomas Colditz as a direct candidate for the constituency. In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , he was elected constituency member in the Erzgebirge 2 constituency with 37.6 percent of the direct votes. In the state parliament he is a member of the budget and finance committee, the committee for economy, labor and transport and the committee for social and social cohesion.
