Eric Doob (* in Boston ) is an American jazz - drummer .

Doob studied after graduating from college on a scholarship, the Keith Copland / Sabian Cymbals Scholarship Award, at Berklee College of Music ; after graduating in 2006, he played in the bands of Paquito D'Rivera , Wynton Marsalis , Miguel Zenón , Christian Scott and Dave Samuels . He appeared as a guest musician with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, as well as with the NDR Big Band . Doob lives in Brooklyn and currently works a. a. with Manuel Valera's New Cuban Express, Matthew Stevens , Alex Brown and Pedro Giraudo . In the Club Jazz Gallery he appears with his own formation. In the field of jazz he was involved in 11 recording sessions between 2009 and 2014, including a. with Chet Doxas , Marshall Gilkes , Hans Glawischnig and Ryan Keberle .
