Eric Ebron (* 10. April 1993 in Newark , New Jersey ) is an American American football poker players on the position of tight ends . He plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL).
Early years
Ebron first went to high school in Rhode Island . He later moved to Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro , North Carolina . Between 2011 and 2013 he attended the University of North Carolina , where he scored eight touchdowns for the college football team in three years . In 2012 he even set a school record for the most pass catches (40) and the most yards after pass catches (973) for a tight end. In 2013 he was a finalist for the John Mackey Award , which is given to the best tight end of the NCAA Division I FBS.
NFL
Ebron was selected tenth in the first round by the Detroit Lions in the 2014 NFL Draft . His first touchdown in the NFL was on the fourth day of the 2014 season against the New York Jets . It remained his only touchdown in his first season. A year later he caught 47 passes for 537 yards and scored 5 touchdowns. In 2016 , he caught 61 passes for 711 yards and a touchdown.
For the 2018 season he moved to the Indianapolis Colts , with whom he reached the play-offs directly . He also scored 13 touchdowns in the season; in the previous four years with the Lions, there were a total of 11.
For the 2020 season he moved to the Pittsburgh Steelers .
