Erik von Detten
Erik Thomas von Detten (born October 3, 1982 in San Diego , California ) is a retired American film actor .
Life
Von Detten is one of four children of Volker and Susan von Detten. His father was born in Munich , his mother is American. Erik's sisters are called Dolly, Britta and Andrea.
At the age of nine he accompanied his sister to a casting and was signed himself. After a small supporting role in the 1991 film comedy My Christmas Wish , von Detten stood in front of the film camera between 1992 and 1993 in the soap opera Zeit der Sehnsucht . Since then, he has been featured in various television and cinema productions, including the 2001 movie Princess Plot . He last appeared in 2010 as a voice actor on Toy Story 3 .
Von Detten spends his free time on his sailing boat , built in 1969 , which he bought when he was 12 and restored with the help of his father. He also spends time with his Dalmatian, Miles. He is very socially active as he is the older brother of a boy at Big Brothers Big Sisters , an institution that cares for orphaned or socially disadvantaged children.
Von Detten lives in Santa Monica, California and is occasionally on the theater stage. He currently works as an investment advisor at Rosland Capital , a Los Angeles- based firm . He has been married to Angela von Detten, a real estate agent, since August 2018. Von Detten has been the father of a daughter since May 17, 2019.

Erik von Detten had been nominated five times for the Young Artist Award , but always came away empty-handed. It was the same when he was nominated twice for the YoungStar Award .
