The Erlichbach is a creek almost nine kilometers long in Upper Lusatia . One of its source arms rises on the eastern slope of the Sonnenhübel and flows through Großhennersdorf completely in a northerly direction. Its second spring arm appears south of Neundorf on the Eigen , feeds the large pond in Großhennersdorf and takes up the water of the Güterbach . The two arms of the spring merge north of the village and continue to flow in a westerly direction.

The lower course of the brook flows around the Red Mountain . This section is strongly characterized by meanders and belongs completely to the FFH area Pließnitz area and the landscape protection area Herrnhuter Bergland . Occurrences of the Pyrenean cranesbill can be found here.
