Erwin Nasse

Erwin Nasse (born December 2, 1829 in Bonn ; † January 4, 1890 there ) was an economist and politician. Nasse was co-founder and chairman of the Verein für Socialpolitik .

Life

Erwin Nasse was a son of Christian Friedrich Nasse and Henriette Weber (1788–1878) from Bielefeld. He studied philology and economics. During his studies he became a member of the Fridericia Bonn fraternity in 1846 . He completed his habilitation as a private lecturer in Bonn in 1854. Appointed professor in Basel at Easter 1856, he was appointed professor in autumn J. to the University of Rostock and from 1860 to the University of Bonn . In 1872/73 he was the rector of the university.

Nasse was a city councilor in Bonn. He was also a member of the free conservative party from 1869 to 1879 in the Prussian House of Representatives , where he represented the constituency of Koblenz 4 ( Kreuznach - Simmern - Zell ).

Nasse was a co-founder of the Association for Social Policy . From 1874 he was chairman of the association. In 1889 he became a member of the Prussian manor house , but died before he could attend a meeting.
