Educational Faculty Day
The Educational Science Faculty Day ( EWFT ) is the association of scientific universities that have educational science facilities (faculties, departments, institutes, seminars, etc.), offer educational studies and have the right to doctorate. It was founded in Bielefeld in 2002 and works together with other faculty days in the General Faculty Day (AFT) in the field of research and academic teaching, academic further education and international cooperation, as well as representing other common interests.
The tasks of the Faculty Day are the exchange of information and advice as well as the perception of common issues in educational science, especially in the following areas:
- Research, teaching and university policy issues
- Structure of the education system
- Structure and introduction of new courses
- International recognition of academic achievements and degrees
- Standards of exams and other quality assurance issues
- Tasks of scientific further education.
Bureau
On May 16, 2019, a new presidium was elected at the 28th plenary assembly of the EWFT.
The presidium for the 2019 to 2021 electoral period consists of:
- Manuela Pietraß - President (Professor of Education with a focus on media education at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich )
- Carola Iller - Deputy President (Professor for Continuing Education at the Hildesheim Foundation University )
- Rita Braches-Chyrek (Professor for Social Pedagogy at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg )
- Karin Bräu (Professor of School Education at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz )
- Hans-Joachim Müller (Research Associate in Pedagogy at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern )
