Euernbach is a district of the municipality of Scheyern in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . The previously independent municipality of Euernbach was incorporated into the municipality of Scheyern on January 1, 1974.

geography

Euernbach lies at an altitude of 448  m above sea level. NHN as the crow flies seven to eight kilometers west-southwest of the district town of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm in the middle valley of the Gerolsbach which flows into the Ilm there . The eponymous capital of the municipality is less than four kilometers east-southeast. The state road St 2084 from Gerolsbach in the upper Gerolsbach valley crosses the village and then joins the St 2045 at the other end, which comes from a side valley and runs through the lower Gerolsbach valley to Pfaffenhofen.

history

The oldest owners of "Eurenbach" were the people, from whom the place came partly through marriage, partly through purchase to the Wildenwarter (see Herrschaft Wildenwart ) near Prien am Chiemsee . In 1030, Countess Wilbirgis von Ebersberg, sister of Count von Ebersberg , donated the church of Euernbach to the Geisenfeld monastery .

In 1315, King Ludwig the Bavarian granted the knight Conrad freedom of honor to Euernbach and Göbelsbach because of his loyal service .

With the Hofmark Pörnbach, the Counts of Törring owned a complex consisting of nine originally independent court brands. The administrative center of the court brands Pörnbach, Euernbach, Göbelsbach , Tegernbach , Ritterswörth , Burgstall , Eschelbach , Förnbach and Puch, which had been the patrimonial courts of the Counts of Törring-Jettenbach since 1819/20 , was in Pörnbach. Patrimonial jurisdiction was abolished in the revolution of 1848 .
