Eugen Schneider (lawyer)

Eugen Georg Schneider (born September 16, 1822 in Bamberg ; † March 29, 1880 ibid) was a German administrative lawyer in the Kingdom of Bavaria . He was mayor of Bamberg, a member of the Chamber of Deputies in Bavaria and the Customs Parliament .

Life

Eugen Schneider attended the old grammar school in Bamberg . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen . In 1830 he became a member of the expired Corps Franconia Erlangen.

After the exams he was an accessist at the Munich City Court and the Bamberg Court of Appeal . In 1852 he became a legal councilor in the Bamberg magistrate . In 1855 he became an honorary boy of the Germania Erlangen fraternity . From 1865 to 1877 he was mayor of Bamberg. From 1853 he was rector of the agricultural, commercial and commercial school in Bamberg. He wrote several books.

From 1863 to 1866 he was a member of the district administrator of Upper Franconia and from 1867 to 1869 a member of the Chamber of Deputies (Bavaria) for the constituency of Bamberg. From February 1868 to 1870 he sat for the constituency Upper Franconia 5 ( Bamberg , Höchstadt ) in the customs parliament .
