Eugene James Cuskelly

Eugene James Cuskelly MSC (born January 6, 1924 in Oakey , Queensland , † March 21, 1999 ) was an Australian Roman Catholic religious and auxiliary bishop in Brisbane .

Life

Eugene James Cuskelly joined the Congregation of the Sacred Heart Missionaries at and received on 18 December 1948, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 17 May 1982. appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Altinum and auxiliary bishop in Brisbane. The Archbishop of Brisbane, Francis Roberts Rush , ordained him episcopal on July 21 of that year ; Co - consecrators were the Apostolic Pro-Nuncio to Australia , Archbishop Luigi Barbarito , and the Archbishop of Hobart , Guilford Clyde Young .

Pope John Paul II accepted Eugene James Cuskelly's resignation on April 29, 1996.
