Eva Schäfer

Eva Schäfer (born September 18, 1924 in Peine , † August 31, 2003 in Potsdam ) was a German actress .

Eva Schäfer studied acting at the Braunschweig State Music School in the 1940s. After this time, she was engaged at the Theater der Freundage in Berlin. Then she played in Döbeln and Görlitz . She called on Bertolt Brecht , who refused her. After two years in Frankfurt an der Oder , she played at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam from 1963 . She played u. a. in “Hamlet”, “Schwejk in the Second World War”, “The Prussians are coming” and “Frau Jenny Treibel”.

She was seen in numerous supporting roles in productions for the GDR film company DEFA . In 1996 she played her last theater role in Potsdam.
