Evangelical Church of the Holy Cross.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Heiligkreuz , a district of the Bavarian market Wartmannsroth in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen, is a village church . Like Detter, the parish belongs to the Weißenbach parish in the Lohr am Main dean's office .

The church belongs to the architectural monuments of Wartmannsroth and is registered under the number D-6-72-161-6 in the Bavarian monument list .

history

The choir of the church dates from the 16th century. The baroque nave of the church dates from the 18th century; an inscription on the gallery bears the year 1783. The oldest of the three bells in the church is from 1510.

description

The nave has two window axes . It is flat-roofed like the east-facing choir with three-eighths closure and three windows. The windows are segment arcs . The roof turret rises above the choir .

Furnishing

The stone altar bears a small crucifix. In front of it stands the baptismal font with the head of a putto , which was made in 1571. The pulpit on the left side of the round choir arch is hexagonal. The gallery takes up the entire southern and western wall. The organ is on its south side .
