The Fällbach is a left tributary of the Black Water in the Ore Mountains in Saxony .

course

The stream rises at the foothills of the Fällberg, just a little above the Fällbachweg, which connects Sosa and Steinheidel . Mostly it runs towards east-northeast. In the upper reaches, it flows north past the Fällbach group of houses named after the stream , which today belongs to the municipality of Breitenbrunn . About 500 m before the confluence with the Schwarzwasser, it takes the Schieferbach from the left in the nature reserve Schieferbach and about 300 m further crosses the Antonshütter Graben, which was built around 1830 .

Mining

The area at the Fällbach has been the subject of constant mining for many centuries , which is documented as early as the beginning of the 16th century. Tin soaps are mentioned there in 1534 . Veit Hans Schnorr von Carolsfeld built a stamping mill on the Fällbach, which is named 1695 and was related to the Michaelis treasure trove . In 1762 more than 30 soap factories were named, which existed here and in the vicinity of the Fällberg as so-called "Lachtersifen". The longest was 850  laughs , over half of the total length. A mine on the Fällbach, where there were several iron ore mines, was the Grube Menschenfreude . Between 1957 and 1960, the promoted item 08 of the Wismut in "Fällbachschacht" (Schurf 23) uranium .
