Föckinghausen is a district of the municipality of Bestwig in the Hochsauerlandkreis in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . On June 30, 2012, Föckinghausen had 29 residents. The place is located in the Arnsberg Forest at an altitude of 500 meters about 1 kilometer north of Bestwig.

history

In 1764 a farmhouse was built from a charcoal burner settlement . The tourism began in 1910 with the opening of a pension. Today there is a school camp and a hotel in the village . The Caritas Association holiday facility was closed in December 2008 and sold to Dutch investors at the end of 2009.
