Förtschendorf is a district of the Pressig market in the Bavarian district of Kronach .
geography
Förtschendorf is located in the Franconian Forest in the valley of the Haßlach , a right tributary of the Rodach , at about 455 m above sea level. NHN, about 5 kilometers northeast of the main town Pressig.
history
Förtschendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1250.
From 1558 to 1997, the Leiner-Bräu brewery was Bavaria's first export beer brewery . In 1885 Förtschendorf got a connection to the German railway network via the Frankenwaldbahn . In 1900 the rural community of Förtschendorf comprised an area of 525.15 hectares, 350 inhabitants, 332 of whom were Catholic, and 58 residential buildings.
On May 1, 1978 Förtschendorf was incorporated into Pressig.
