Fabian Wagner

Fabian Wagner (born April 25, 1978 in Munich ) is a German cameraman and film editor .

Life

Wagner studied at the Northern Film School in Leeds and completed his studies with a master's degree. Since 2004 he has been hired as a cameraman for music videos and short films. Up until 2014, Wagner made films almost exclusively for British companies. Since 2008 he has worked regularly for TV series for the BBC and ITV . For Sherlock - A Scandal in Belgravia , Wagner was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2012 . Since 2014 he has been a member of the camera team for the Game of Thrones series , his first engagement for a US cable broadcaster. In 2015 he was nominated for the 8th episode of the 5th season of Game of Thrones for the American Society of Cinematographers Award and was nominated again for an Emmy. He has been the series' Director of Photography since 2015 .

Wagner is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) and the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). Wagner works directly with the camera, but he is also particularly interested in post-production . Wagner lives in Munich and in the USA.
