Fabio Reinhardt (born December 16, 1980 in Warendorf ) is a German politician from Alliance 90 / The Greens . Before that he belonged to the Pirate Party .

Life

Reinhardt completed his studies in history and political science at the Technical University of Braunschweig in 2009 with a Magister Artium. In 2007 he joined the Pirate Party .

At the beginning of 2012, Reinhardt got engaged to party colleague Julia Schramm . The announcement of the engagement via the Internet service Twitter caused criticism from within the party. The two married on July 27, 2012. The couple divorced in January 2017.

In 2018 he joined the Berlin-Lichtenberg district association of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .

Political activity

From 2008 to 2009 Reinhardt was an assessor in the Lower Saxony state board. He was elected with ten out of eleven votes. For the federal election in 2009 he ran for the Pirate Party on the Lower Saxony state list in 3rd place. At the federal party conference in 2009, he ran as a member of the federal executive committee, but was not elected. In the federal election campaign, Reinhardt was the Federal Press Coordinator of the Pirate Party Germany. In the federal election campaign he worked for Jörg Tauss , who joined the Pirate Party in June 2009. In this context, criticism was raised because he also used the office in the Bundestag for press work. In February 2010 he ran for the arbitration tribunal of the Berlin regional association, but was not elected.

Reinhardt was as a list candidate in the Berlin state election, 2011 in the Berlin House of Representatives voted. At the same time he ran as a direct candidate for the constituency of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg 3 . At the end of September 2011 he was elected deputy chairman of the parliamentary group together with Susanne Graf and Heiko Herberg ; beforehand he had doubts as to whether the group even needed a chairman. As deputy chairman, he was responsible for the parliamentary group's press and public relations work. At the end of February 2012, the parliamentary group decided by mutual agreement to transfer this responsibility to Christopher Lauer . In the election of the parliamentary group executive in June 2012, Reinhardt no longer ran for one of the two group chairman positions on the grounds that there were “other candidates for whom that is more important”.

Within the pirate faction he was the spokesman for integration and refugee policy and a member of the main committee. He was also an elected member of the Grace Committee of the Berlin House of Representatives . In the 2016 election , he reappeared in eleventh place on the list. However, the Pirate Party no longer reached the five percent hurdle and Reinhardt left the House of Representatives.

Others

He is a member of Pro Asyl , Mehr Demokratie , the Association of History in Braunschweig (GiBS) and is active in the Humanist Union . He also works regularly with the working groups retention and against Internet blocking and censorship , the Chaos Computer Club (CCC), Digitalcourage eV together (formerly FoeBuD) and other alliances.
