Fabio Testi
Fabio Testi (born August 2, 1941 in Peschiera del Garda ) is an Italian actor and singer .
Life
Testi worked as a stuntman for Sergio Leone's spaghetti western Two Glorious Scoundrels in 1966 . He has been an actor since 1967. He played leading roles in spaghetti westerns like Knie down und friss Staub (1971), but could not achieve the popularity of his Italian contemporaries Terence Hill , Franco Nero or Giuliano Gemma . Sergio Leone engaged him in 1968 for a smaller role in his western epic Spiel mir das Lied von Tod .
Testi was seen in war films like Dead rotten in the sun (1969) or Todkommando Tobruk (1969) and appeared regularly in thrillers like The Secret of the Green Pin (1972) or Westerns like Damned To Live - Damned To Die ( 1975). In 1970 star director Vittorio De Sica engaged him for his artistically demanding film The Garden of the Finzi Contini . Testi also played the leading role in the Poliziotteschi films Racket - Murder on a Call and Dealer Connection - The Street of Heroin by Enzo G. Castellari . At the side of Lou Castel , Testi played a communist revolutionary in France in the film Nada by Claude Chabrol . In the movie The Big Picture of Andrzej Żuławski Testi played the lover of Romy Schneider .
Fabio Testi has been working regularly as a television actor since the mid-1980s. In 2003 he appeared on the Italian reality show L'Isola dei famosi ("The Island of the Famous").
Testi was married to Lola Navarro between 1979 and 1996 (three children). In 2007 he ran for the mayoral election in Verona and won 0.437% of the vote.
Testi is considered a supporter of the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi . Testi appeared as a supporter of Berlusconi's Forza Italia party in various campaigns .
