content

Abel Webster is a wealthy landowner whose son Ben is about to marry Catherine. However, his wealth is based on blood; because where his settlement now stands, there was once an Indian village, for the almost complete extermination of which he is responsible. Together with nine neighbors and friends, he slaughtered all residents except for one little boy, Condor. This survivor has now grown into a young warrior and seeks and finds his revenge on all those responsible for the massacre. To make matters worse, Catherine is also expecting a child whose father is the cowboy Ringo. The finale takes place in heavy storms: The family tragedy is complemented by the completion of the revenge, which Condor rushes to the aid of several Indians.

criticism

"An enormously fateful western with a lot of soul smoke, which can probably be counted among the extreme examples of the psycho-western tradition."

- Christian Keßler : Willkommen in der Hölle, 2002, p. 73.

Others

Kristopher Spencer writes about Piero Umiliani's soundtrack: "The robust orchestration and the presence of jazz influences make this score less recognizable than typical Umiliani, but no less exciting."

Julie Newmar is often listed as an actress; however, she cannot be seen in the film.
