criticism
On the other hand, his video "Riding down the Dolomites" was perceived controversially: The video shows Fabio Wibmer on his mountain bike downhill run on the mountain running route of the Dolomitenmann . The project supported by Red Bull was viewed rather critically in the mountain bike community and various bike forums. One point of criticism is the use of two helicopters for the purpose of transport and filming in the high mountains and, on the other hand, Wibmer's rather "rustic" driving style, which leaves clear traces in the alpine terrain.
The video "Israel Is My Playground - Fabio Wibmer", which, among other things, positively stages the culture and nature of Israel, caused some irritation and discussions in the comment area due to the political conflict between Israel and Palestine and received a relatively large number of dislikes, which Fabio Wibmer finally prompted a statement ("Guys, biking is not about politics! It's about having fun, no matter where in the world."), In which he expressed that, in his opinion, biking had nothing to do with politics, it's all about having fun - no matter where in the world.
