Fabrizio Frizzi

Fabrizio Frizzi (born February 5, 1958 in Rome ; † March 26, 2018 there ) was an Italian television presenter and voice actor .

Career

Fabrizio Frizzi, the younger brother of Fabio Frizzi , began his career in private radio and television until he made his debut on Rai 2 in 1980 in the children's show Il barattolo . He soon made a name for himself and in 1984 he co-hosted the program Pane e marmellata . In 1988 he was entrusted with the Saturday evening show Europa Europa , and he also hosted Miss Italia for the first time , a role he would play until 2002. In 1989 it was the turn of the Castrocaro Music Festival , in 1991 he started on Rai 1 with the game show Scommettiamo che ..? , the Italian version of Wetten, dass ..? which was a huge success and made Frizzi a figurehead of Italian television.

In 1994 the moderator appeared in the quiz show Luna Park , and from 1995 he moderated the annual charity soccer game Partita del cuore of the Nazionale italiana cantanti . He also worked for Toy Story for the first time as a voice actor , as well as in a number of other animated films. In 1996 and 1997 he worked for the programs Atlantam tam , Domenica In and Per tutta la vita , then he played the leading role in the television series Non lasciamoci più (alongside Debora Caprioglio ).

After a short excursion into private television ( Canale 5 ), he hosted Piazza Grande on Rai 2 from 2003 to 2004 , but without initially being obliged to do important programs again. Frizzi then became the face for Telethon , the Rai's charity initiative for rare disease research, and returned to the limelight in 2007 with the Soliti ignoti game show . This was followed by programs such as Premio Barocco or La botola and the role as a juror in Ciak, si canta ; On New Year's Eve 2009 he hosted L'anno che verrà , the end-of-year show on Rai 1.

In the song Tortadinonna o gonnacorta (on the album QPGA of Claudio Baglioni ) Frizzi was heard as a singer in 2009, he also hosted the talent show Mettiamoci all'opera . After numerous other broadcasts, in 2012 he also acted as the presenter of the benefit concert Concerto per l'Emilia (for the earthquake victims ). In 2013 he successfully participated in the music show Tale e quale show by Carlo Conti , in 2014 he took over the moderation of the quiz show L'eredità from Conti . In 2015 Frizzi was awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic (Komtur) (after the officer award in 2008).

Life

Frizzi was initially married to the actress and presenter Rita Dalla Chiesa . Since 2002 he was in a relationship with the journalist Carlotta Mantovan , with whom he had a daughter since 2013 and who he married in 2014 in second marriage.

While recording for L'eredità , Frizzi was hospitalized with mild ischemia in October 2017 . After receiving therapy and returning to television, he died of a cerebral haemorrhage on March 26, 2018 at the age of 60 .
