history
The place was first mentioned in 1511 as "des segers güthlein". The mill originally operated a sawmill. In the 18th century it was converted into a hammer mill that was used to manufacture iron wire. The mill was also listed in the Oberamtsbeschreibung from 1732 by Johann Georg Vetter .
Towards the end of the 18th century there was a property in Hämmerleinsmühle. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Roth . The mill had the Altschell'sche Rentenverwaltung Mäbenberg as landlord .
As part of the municipal edict, Hämmerleinsmühle was assigned to the Rittersbach tax district formed in 1808 . In 1811 it was assigned to the newly founded Mäbenberg rural community . On March 31, 1910, the mill was moved to Georgensgmünd.
Around 1900 the owners drained the dammed mill ponds and grew hops there. The mill was used again to operate a grinding and sawmill. It has been closed since 1959. The original mill building was demolished.
In 2018, the new owners converted the mill into an event location with a beer garden and gastronomy and have been operating it since then as "Hämmerla".
