After Eddie Jordan did not renew his contract after a year, he switched to the Italian touring car championship for BMW Italia in 1997, where he finished fourth overall in 1997 and 1998.

At the European Touring Car Championship , he joined Maserati as a works driver in 2005 , with the MC12 in the American Le Mans Series . He made his debut at the Le Mans 24-hour race back in 2003 - his only appearance at the endurance race on the Sarthe to date . His last active season so far was 2007, which he contested in a Ferrari F430 GT in the GT2 class of the Le Mans Series .
