Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar

Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar ( Arabic فيصل بن عبد الرحمن بن معمر, DMG Faiṣal b. ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān b. Muʿammar ; * 1959 in Sadus , Saudi Arabia ) is a Saudi Arabian politician and functionary who holds various functions in the government of his country and in national and international organizations. He was Deputy Minister of Education (in the rank of ministerial) in his country and has been Secretary General of the King Abdullah Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue ( King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue ; KAICIID ) in the Austrian capital Vienna since October 2012 .

Life

Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar graduated from King Saud University in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia , and from Webster University , Missouri , United States . and earned a BA in Sociology (1983) and a Masters degree in Management (1983).

At the Saudi Arabian royal court under King Abdullah , the guardian of the two holy places , he was an advisor and is regarded as his close confidante. In addition, Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar was Supervisor-General of the King Abdulaziz Public Library (مكتبة الملك عبد العزيز) in the capital Riyadh .

He served as an advisor of the Royal Court of the then Crown Prince Abdullah ibn Abd al-Aziz Al Saud , and as a deputy of the National Guard of Cultural and Educational Affairs ( National Guard for Cultural and Educational Affairs ).

He also worked as General Secretary of the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) in Riyadh . He also served on the boards of many national and international organizations, including the World Scout Foundation . He is a member of the Board of Trustees of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Islamic Studies and Human Sciences (مؤسسة الملك عبد العزيز للدراسات الإسلامية والعلوم الإنسانية / King Abdulaziz Foundation for Islamic Studies and Human Sciences / Fondation du Roi Abdul Aziz Al Saoud pour les Etudes Islamiques et les Sciences humaines ), based in Casablanca in Morocco , the King Abdul Aziz Foundation for research and archives ( King Abdulaziz Foundation for research and archives ) in Saudi Arabia and the Executive Board of Takaful Charity Society (جمعية تكافل الخيرية), one of the largest Such charities in Saudi Arabia.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation and a member of the board of trustees of the King Fahd National Library .
