Fajã de Cima is a freguesia in the county / district government (Concelho) Ponta Delgada , the capital, on the Portuguese Azores -Insel São Miguel , with 3438 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011) to 11.9 square kilometers. The population density is 289 inhabitants per km².

Fajã de Cima is a good one kilometer northeast of the city limits of Ponta Delgada on the EN4-1A road to Fenais da Luz on the north side of the island. Immediately to the southeast is the sister community Fajã de Baixo . Other neighboring freguesias are São Pedro in the east, Ponta Delgada in the south, Arrifes in the west, São Vicente Ferreira in the northwest and Fenais da Luz in the north.

Agriculture is the main industry.
