Sete Cidades (German: Seven Cities ) is a freguesia in the district of Ponta Delgada on the Portuguese Azores island of São Miguel with 793 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011) on an area of ​​19.2 km², the population density is 41.3 Inhabitants per km².

It is located at 37.87 ° north latitude and 25.78 ° west longitude at about 260 m altitude in the interior of the volcanic Caldeira Sete Cidades on the edge of the lake of the same name. At the edge of the village are the smaller, in places densely overgrown secondary craters Caldeira Seca and Caldeira do Alferes . The name of the village refers to legends of seven cities in the Atlantic and appears more frequently in the Portuguese-speaking area.
