The album

production

Familiar to Millions was released simultaneously on six different formats: double CD, triple vinyl, double cassette, DVD, VHS and MiniDisc. On October 1st, 2001, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the band, a highlights CD was added. Each issue has a different color with otherwise the same cover design.

The CD contains a cover version of the Beatles song Helter Skelter as a bonus track , which was recorded at a concert at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee on April 16, 2000. The highlights CD was released without the songs Fuckin 'In The Bushes , Step Out , Stand By Me , Hey Hey, My My and Helter Skelter .

The DVD shows the whole concert and 45 minutes of documentation with backstage reports, interviews and film material from fans. In addition, the complete Oasis discography including international publications and extensive bonus material is included. The concert and the 20-minute documentary Mad Fer It with interviews by Liam and Noel Gallagher can be seen on the VHS .

All songs were written by Noel Gallagher , exceptions are noted.

Notes on the individual songs

Wonderwall

In the various audio formats, only two lines of the song come from the recordings at Wembley Stadium:

“I'm sure you heard it all before
but you never really had a doubt”.

Because Liam did not sing the chorus at the concert and also changed text passages

“By now you should have somehow
realized not to sniff glue…
And all the lights that light the way are
doin 'me fuckin' 'ead in!” (Wembley Stadium)
“By now you should've somehow
realized what you're not to do…
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
there are many things that I would like to say to you” (Original)

you can hear the vocals from a live performance of the band in the Yokohama Arena in Tokyo on March 5, 2000. The same goes for Noel's background vocals. However, all other traces come from Wembley Stadium.
