Faraday Medal (IEE)

The Faraday Medal of the British Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) is an annual award for outstanding scientific or industrial achievements in the technical field or for the advancement of science and technology. The award is given regardless of IEE membership or nationality. It was donated in 1922 in memory of the 50th anniversary of the first meeting of the Society of Telegraph Engineers (predecessor of the IEE). The award is named after Michael Faraday .

The prize is awarded today (as of 2019) by the IET ( Institution of Engineering and Technology ).

There is also a Faraday Medal (IOP) .
