Farhad Dilmaghani (* 1971 in Groß-Gerau ) is a German political scientist . From 2012 to 2013 he was State Secretary at the Berlin Senate Department for Labor, Integration and Women .

Life

education

Dilmaghani studied political science , economics and philosophy at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main from 1993 to 1998 . From 1995 to 1996 he studied international relations at the Institut d'études politiques de Lyon .

job

His first professional position was in the Federal Ministry of Finance as a consultant for European issues. Under Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder , he was a consultant for political planning as well as education and health in the Federal Chancellery from 2000 to 2005 . He then headed the “Issues Management” division for Allianz SE. This was followed by the position of Head of Communication, Marketing and Government Relations at the private business school European School of Management and Technology . Dilmaghani meanwhile worked for the non-profit analysis and consulting company PHINEO as an authorized representative for the public sector in Berlin.

In 2010 he founded, among other things common with the social scientist Naika Foroutan , director Zuli Aladag and the architect Van Bo Le-Mentzel the initiative "German Plus - initiative for a pluralistic republic", a kind of think tank . Dilmaghani is the chairman of the association. In January 2011 he became a member of the Media Tenor Advisory Board .

State Secretary

In 2012, the then Berlin Labor Senator Dilek Kolat (SPD) made him State Secretary in the Senate Department for Labor, Integration and Women . After 14 months of service, he was released with immediate effect. Kolat dismissed him on the grounds that "the basis for a good cooperation no longer exists". According to the Tagesspiegel , administrative employees of the Senate Administration have also reported that "Dilmaghani had little knowledge of procedures and exerted pressure on employees."

In 2019 Dilmaghani was given a comparative legal opinion by the former federal administrative judge Prof. Dr. Kurt Graulich rehabilitated by the Berlin Senate Chancellery. In an official press release, the head of the Berlin Senate Chancellery, Christian Gaebler , said:

“With the present report, we have a good basis for ensuring clarity, legal certainty and protection of personal interests for political officials as well. I regret if those affected have suffered disadvantages in the past through the practice of the administration. In the case of Mr. Sts ret. Dilmaghani, accompanying press reports with anonymous allegations also had a reputation-damaging effect. This has not been publicly opposed. I would therefore like to make it clear that as State Secretary for Labor and Integration he did an excellent job for Berlin, especially as the architect of the successful Berlin-Arbeit project and for integrative measures. ""
