course
The Faulborn rises in the Untere Lauterhöhen natural area of the North Palatinate Bergland in the Altwiesen corridor at an altitude of 313 m above sea level. NHN a good one and a half kilometers west of Schallodenbach and about a quarter of a kilometer east of the state forest Tierwald Ottenberg in the biotope Wiesentälchen O Tier-Wald bei Schallodenbach .
The stream initially flows almost a hundred meters towards the east-northeast through fields and then marks the border between the community of Schallodenbach in the south and the district of Wörsbach, which belongs to the local community of Niederkirchen, in the north. To the north of the border is the Altwiesen corridor and the Im Faulborn corridor to the south .
In the Sauwoog corridor , the brook takes a quick hook to the right, then runs almost a hundred meters northeast through grassland and then passes the municipality boundary to Niederkirchen. A little further down the stream it forms a small fish pond , heavily lined with bushes and trees , then changes back to the area of the community of Schallodenbach and feeds the Wörsweiher , which is located at an altitude of 297.2 m and about 0.3 hectares in size , which it faces north-northeast leaves.
Almost 50 meters later, the Faulborn crosses under the state road 382 in a north-easterly direction , then runs, now again in the area of the Wörsbach district, through the grassland of the Bruchfelder Wiesen corridor and finally flows out at an altitude of 292 m just under a kilometer northwest of Schallodenbach and in the area from the left into the Odenbach coming from the south-southeast .
