Feltrinelli , or Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore , is a large Italian publishing house founded in 1954 by Giangiacomo Feltrinelli in Milan . He belongs to the Gruppo Feltrinelli .

Feltrinelli published important works of world literature , but is also known as a publisher of the Italian left. After the publisher's death in March 1972, his wife Inge Feltrinelli (1930-2018) took over the management of the publishing house, which is currently run by her son Carlo Feltrinelli (* 1962).
