Ferdinand Bissing

Ferdinand Bissing (born March 1, 1832 in Heidelberg , † August 28, 1912 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a Baden historian , journalist and politician .

Life

Ferdinand Bissing studied law , philosophy and history and a doctorate Dr. phil. He was a private lecturer in history at the University of Heidelberg and leader of the Catholic party in Baden . He gained notoriety through his extensive journalistic activities and as a speaker at party meetings.

From 1868 to 1870 he was a member of the customs parliament as a member of the Baden 14 constituency ( Adelsheim , Boxberg , Tauberbischofsheim , Wertheim ) . In addition, from 1869 to 1870 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly as a member of the 40th electoral district (Tauberbischofsheim).
