Localization of Lower Saxony in Germany

The Höxter telecommunications tower is a 90-meter high transmission tower on the Schrodhalbe mountain in Solling . The name refers to the primary destination of the broadcasts, namely Höxter . The tower is located in the municipality of the Neuhaus im Solling district of the city of Holzminden , about one kilometer south of Neuhaus and west of federal highway 497 . Its owner is the German radio tower . It was built in 1976.

Radio

Although the tower is located in Lower Saxony, it mainly broadcasts certain radio programs for North Rhine-Westphalia, as the Weser valley around Höxter can be better reached on VHF from here due to the topography . In total, the following radio programs are broadcast:

frequency program ERP
107.3 MHz 1 live 0.5 kW
96.4 MHz WDR 2 0.5 kW
95.2 MHz WDR 3 0.5 kW
87.8 MHz WDR 4 0.5 kW
93.9 MHz WDR 5 0.5 kW
104.8 MHz Radio Hochstift 0.5 kW
102.2 MHz Radio ffn 0.5 kW
105.7 MHz Hit radio antenna 0.5 kW

Until January 2010, the North Rhine-Westphalian DAB digital radio package was also broadcast from this location in the single-frequency network with many other stations in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The next neighboring transmission towers are in Höxter-Stahle ( Holzminden transmitter ), on the Köterberg ( Köterberg telecommunications tower ) and at Espol ( Solling telecommunications tower ).
