The transmitter located above Höxter - Stahle is called the Holzminden transmitter. The name refers to the primary destination of the broadcasts, namely Holzminden .

Radio

Although the tower is located in North Rhine-Westphalia, it broadcasts the NDR radio programs intended for Lower Saxony , as the Weser valley around Holzminden can be better reached on VHF from here for topographical reasons . In November 2012, a frequency for the private broadcaster Radio 21 was added. In total, the following radio programs are broadcast:

Digital television ( DVB-T / DVB-T2 )

The broadcast of the Hessian bouquets in Lower Saxony is due to technical reasons; From the Holzminden location, it is not possible to receive a ball from another transmitter in Lower Saxony, only the Hessian muxes from the Habichtswald location arrive at the converter with sufficient signal strength. On November 8, 2017, the conversion to the DVB-T2 standard with HEVC image coding took place. Optionally, additional programs contained as a link can be played back via an Internet connection if the receiving device supports HbbTV (version 1.5 or higher ) (HR via IP: ARD-alpha , BR FS Süd HD , rbb Berlin HD and SR Fernsehen HD ).
