Ferry Aid

A group of British artists as Ferry Aid ( English help ferry ) occurred, sang a cover version of the Beatles -title Let It Be to the bereaved families of the victims of the disaster of the British car ferry " Herald of Free Enterprise to support financially": On March 6, 1987 the car ferry ran out of the Belgian port of Bruges-Zeebrugge and capsized a little later. 193 people were killed.

The song Let It Be , composed by Paul McCartney and first published in 1970, was released license-free for recording, which took place from March 15-17, 1987 , by Michael Jackson , who owned the rights to the Beatles songs at the time of the ferry accident .
