Filialkirche Stadlau (Maria, Help of Christians)

The daughter church Mary Help of Christians of the parish Stadlau is a former Roman Catholic church in the suburb Stadlau in the 22nd Viennese district Danube city in the Archduke Karl Strasse 176th

The church was built in May 1979 based on a design by the architect Franz Xaver Goldner and the implementation plans of the VOEST Alpine architectural office and consecrated on March 23, 1980 by the Archbishop-Coadjutor Franz Jachym , and incorporated as a branch church of the Stadlau parish church . It replaced a redesigned military barrack that was consecrated as an emergency church on July 19, 1959.

The octagonal, two-storey central building is square surrounded by side, single-storey secondary rooms and is closed off with diagonal access rooms in the shape of a cross. A tubular steel tower with a cross is built on the east side of the forecourt. It houses three bronze bells. On the choir wall are concrete glass windows by the Viennese artist Wilhelm Kocian (1942–2010) from 1979.

In 2019 the church, which could no longer be renovated, was profaned . It is to be torn down and replaced by a residential building with a pastoral care room.
