architecture

The core Romanesque small Gothic church is surrounded by a cemetery isolated on a hill.

The Gothic west tower with coupled, arched sound windows and loopholes has a pyramid helmet. To the west of the tower is an open vestibule. There is a low sacristy annex on the north wall of the nave . The tower and nave have a stone slab covering. The Gothic choir with a five-eighth closure has clover-leaf and tracery windows . The profiled Gothic pointed arch portal has a door with Gothic fittings.

The south side of the church shows a fragment of a Christopher - fresco . In the north wall of the choir is a small stone with an early Romanesque cross.

The interior of the church shows itself as a four-bay nave, the two western bays are tapering with burr cross vaults, the two eastern wider bays with ribbed vaults on consoles and round services. The inclined, drawn-in front arch connects the nave with the cross-ribbed vaulted choir with a keystone with a pelican relief. In the northern slope of the choir there is a stone console with a coat of arms with two sickles, to the left of which is a small Gothic sacrament niche with a rosette grille. There are two layers of frescoes under the whitewash.

The wooden singers' gallery has painted tracery on the parapet.

Fresco finds uncovered in 1998/1999 show a man of Sorrows on the north wall of the choir with instruments of suffering above the sacrament niche, on the north wall of the triumphal arch St. Barbara with donor from the second quarter of the 15th century, three standing saints (Barbara, Dorothea and Margaretha ) in arched architecture with crabs and zigzag ribbon on the north wall of the nave in a secco technique, there is a preliminary drawing of a female figure enthroned under the cloverleaf architecture second half of the 14th century.

Furnishing

The branch church has a remarkable Gothic cafeteria painted with apostles in niches. The high altar around 1680 later bears Baroque figures of Andreas , Georg and Florian . The two side altars with lush ornamental carvings from around 1720 are connected above the triumphal arch, they have folk carvings, on the left Maria Immaculata and Andreas, on the right Oswald and Georg.
